Me and the movie are in the news today. Tye and I were interviewed by The Shore News, a local paper in Hamilton Township, NJ (the town where we’re filming) and the article is up!
The movie is moving along at an increasing clip. We’re just about to begin casting for a spec scene we’re shooting in August. The scene is about Annie Oakley in a wheelchair. A hard-as-nails, wheelchair-bound marksman, Annie is forced to give up her rifle after being declared a danger to herself and others, and move in with her daughter. Daughter becomes caretaker to mother and mother resents the hell out of it.
Things quickly spiral out of control when the daughter goes to work, Annie manages to get her gun back and (unable to leave the house) begins sharpshooting things off the shelves in the kitchen and living room.
Anyhow, we’re casting next weekend. Full details at:
Pre-production has started on a new feature film written by me, Tye Pemberton and Jean Coleman. I’ll be directing, too. Things are just starting to take shape, so I can’t say much more beyond the fact that it’s a cowboy movie unlike any cowboy movie you’ve ever seen. This thing is going to have a huge swarm of dogs in it, I think.
Stay tuned for more.
I’m still getting things situated here, but there will be more to come in the future—particularly in the film department. For now, enjoy the work I have up. There’s a couple of clips up (a music video, a short film I made on 16mm, and an ad I did some camera work for) samples of three stories from my collection Ricky Ricardo Had One Thing Right and a bunch of my graphic and illustration work from over the years.
Let me know what you think and feel free to write.
-Eric
